The referee for the UEFA Europa Conference League third qualifying round match between Levski (Bulgaria) and Sabah (Azerbaijan) has been announced. The game will be officiated by Croatian referee Duje Strukan.
The 41-year-old Strukan has been on FIFA’s list of referees since 2017 and has extensive experience officiating in both European club competitions and international matches. He is known for his calm and composed refereeing style, even in the most intense games.
On average, Strukan shows 4.72 yellow cards per match. His red card statistics are quite low — roughly one red card every 20 games. While he tends to issue more cards in Croatian domestic matches, he is noticeably less inclined to reach for his pocket during international games.
The match will take place in Sofia on August 7, kicking off at 22:00 Baku time.
