“Kapaz” has re-signed Nigerian player Olawale Onanuga. The Ganja club has signed the 27-year-old defensive-midfielder to a one-year contract. The club’s press service did not disclose under what conditions the player returned to Ganja.

The Nigerian midfielder had already represented “Kapaz” in the 2023–2024 season, making 27 appearances and scoring 2 goals. After leaving Azerbaijan, he tried his luck with Kuwait’s “Al-Nasr” and Israel’s “Bnei Yehuda” clubs. In Israel, Olawale played in 17 matches but recorded neither a goal nor an assist. His overall performance at his last club is not considered successful. That is why it is interesting to know what qualities led “Kapaz” to bring Olawale back.
