One of the Premier League leaders, Araz-Nakhchivan, will face Kəpəz away today. The Ganja club is currently in crisis and is more focused on off-field issues. Even so, Araz-Nakhchivan is not without worries either. Although the Nakhchivan club did not start the season badly, just before the next round, an unexpected concern has fallen on their shoulders.
The team’s main goalkeeper, Cristian Avram, went enthusiastically to join the Moldova national team, but returned in a broken state. Norway’s national team scored an extraordinary number of goals—11—against Avram, something rarely seen in modern football. After the match, Avram said: “I won’t die, I have to stay strong. But 11 goals is too much,” clearly showing his poor psychological condition.
The Araz-Nakhchivan coaching staff now has very little time to lift Avram’s spirits and convince him that those 11 goals were nothing more than a nightmare. When we tried to find out how Avram was doing, the club provided no information. Apparently, Avram is in no state to give statements. Naturally, after conceding 11 goals, any goalkeeper would be shaken.
Now, Araz’s only hope is to prevent Kəpəz from taking advantage of the situation.
